If we had time to hear the rightwing conspiracy theory about Obama’s apology tour, if we had time to listen to Romney’s 5 point plan, again, if we had time to spar yet again over who loves teachers more (foreign policy!), and if we had plenty of time to re-re-rehash whether or not the phrase “act of terror” was used at the exact moment it should have been, let’s just say I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that maybe we could have had a couple of two-minute answers on something less blatantly sound-bitey.
